For a long time, I convinced myself that the way I train, eat, supplement, and structure my days was because of AMN.

But the truth is, it is not.
Yes, my diagnosis forced me to pay attention. It forced me to take ownership of my health. It forced me to stop drifting.
What I have realized is this:
The habits that help me fight for strength are the same habits that help anyone build strength.
You do not need a diagnosis to live intentionally. You just need a reason.
Sometimes the reason is simple. You are tired of feeling average.
1. Train Your Body Like It Matters
I lift weights because muscle matters to me. Strength matters to me. Mobility matters to me.
The bigger lesson is this:
Training is not about aesthetics. It is about capability.
When you train consistently, you:
- Improve insulin sensitivity
- Protect bone density
- Support hormone balance
- Build mental resilience
For me, creatine monohydrate is non negotiable. It supports muscular strength and neurological health.
Magnesium glycinate helps recovery and sleep.
Vitamin D3 and K2 support hormone function and bone health.
Fish oil supports inflammation balance and cardiovascular health.
None of those are AMN supplements.
They are human supplements.
The average person sitting at a desk eight to ten hours a day would benefit just as much.
2. Eat Like Energy Matters
When I eat eggs and blueberries in the morning, it is intentional.
Eggs provide:
- Complete protein
- Choline for brain function
- B vitamins for energy production
Blueberries provide:
- Antioxidants
- Fiber
- Micronutrients that help reduce oxidative stress
This is not about disease.
It is about performance.
If you want to think clearly, move well, and show up strong in your career, relationships, and goals, nutrition is leverage.
Most people are not underperforming because of a lack of motivation.
They are under recovering.
Under fueling.
Under sleeping.
3. Structure Creates Freedom
Something that changed everything for me was this:
Structure reduces stress.
When my supplements are planned.
When my training days are mapped out.
When I know what I am eating.
When I know what time I am sleeping.
There is less mental clutter.
The average person feels overwhelmed not because life is impossible, but because life is unstructured.
When you create a routine, you:
- Remove decision fatigue
- Build confidence
- Stack small wins
And small wins compound.
4. The Diagnosis Is Not the Point
Whether it is AMN, stress, burnout, weight gain, or simply feeling stuck, the label does not matter.
The response does.
My response was to double down on what I can control:
- Movement
- Nutrition
- Sleep
- Mindset
- Education
Anyone can do that.
You do not need to wait for rock bottom.
You do not need a wake up call.
You do not need permission.
You can choose discipline before life forces it on you.
5. The Real Message
The real message is not about AMN.
It is about ownership.
You may not control your genetics.
You may not control the market.
You may not control setbacks.
But you control:
- Whether you train
- What you put in your body
- How you speak to yourself
- How you respond to adversity
I did not start building these habits because I am sick.
I started building them because I want to be strong, physically and mentally, for as long as possible.
That is something every single person can relate to.
